Anil Sanwal is former Vice President, Group Products for the Global Group Reinsurance Division of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP International Corporation. In collaboration with Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s global managing directors and regional and local heads of business development, Anil is responsible for identifying new group reinsurance opportunities in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s global markets, and
for identifying markets where Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP can expand its existing reinsurance offerings. In addition, Anil plays a key role in growing the global reach of key reinsurance services.
Before taking on his current position, Anil served as Vice President, Group Reinsurance and Development, at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Life Reinsurance Company of Canada. He started his career at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Canada as Director, Pricing and Product, Group Reinsurance.
Prior to joining Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in 2007, Anil was Head, Group and Client Services with Munich Re Services India Ltd., where he was responsible for developing the group reinsurance business. His focus was on the life and health insurance market on the Indian subcontinent, including Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He also provided support to other
divisions of Munich Re in Asia in the development of group reinsurance markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, China and South Korea. Earlier in his career, Anil worked for Munich Reinsurance (Canada Branch, Life) and UNUM Canada in group pricing and product development.
Anil received his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in math and statistics from Western University and a Diplôme de langue et civilization françaises from the Université de Paris, Sorbonne.
