Ankur Patel is a Managing Director in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s Private Debt & Equity group, which manages a portfolio of subordinated debt, equity, and fund investments across the middle market and lower middle market. Ankur is a senior investment professional with more than a decade of experience investing across the private debt and equity markets. He assesses market conditions, identifies and sources potential investment opportunities, and oversees the performance of the group’s diverse investment portfolios.
Before joining Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in April 2024, Ankur was a Principal at The Blackstone Group, where he led the origination, due diligence, execution, and monitoring of private investments across various structures, as well as investments in public debt. Ankur also established the Chicago office for Blackstone Credit, expanding the firm’s geographic footprint. Ankur also spent nine years at Ares Management, most recently as a Principal within the Credit Group, based out of Chicago and began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst with Moelis & Company in New York.
Ankur earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
