As Vice President and Medical Director for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s U.S. Individual Life division, Dr. Preeti Dalawari provides expert medical guidance in facultative underwriting and medical education for underwriters and Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP clients. She is actively involved in manual and guideline development, as well as calculator and accelerated underwriting initiatives within the U.S. market. Dr. Dalawari currently serves as Managing Director of the Longer Life Foundation, a non-profit collaboration between Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP and Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, that funds research into factors that either predict the mortality and morbidity of select populations or influence improvements in longevity, health, and wellness.
Dr. Dalawari received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Jefferson Medical College in a six-year combined undergraduate and medical school degree program. She completed a three-year residency in emergency medicine and received a Master of Science in public health and epidemiology (M.S.P.H.) from Saint Louis University (SLU). Prior to joining Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in 2020, Dr. Dalawari practiced emergency medicine for 15 years at SLU, where she authored 25 research articles, edited an inaugural text of the intersection between social determinants of health and the emergency department, and taught numerous medical students and residents.
