​​​​​​​T´Ç²Ô²â Cheng is President and Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP). He was named President of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in January 2023, and prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Head of EMEA, Asia, and Australia for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP, providing executive oversight for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s EMEA, Asia, and Australia operations.
Tony joined Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in 1997 as Chief Actuary of Malaysian Life Reinsurance Group Berhad, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s joint venture with the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia. In 2004, Tony was named Chief Executive Officer of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s Hong Kong office, responsible for all business activity in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and in 2011, he was named Senior Vice President, Asia, an expanded role incorporating overall management of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Asia.​
He received his Bachelor of Economics (B.Ec.) degree from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and his M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis’ John M. Olin School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA). An active participant and past President of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong, he has also served as a council member of the Society and as a past Chair of its Experience and Life Committees.
